ChildArc — last updated October 2, 2026
In short
The data you enter is stored on your device and, if you use iCloud, synced between your devices through your own iCloud account. The app has no account, no server, no audience measurement and no advertising. The publisher has no access to any of your data.
What is stored
For each child: a first name, a date of birth, a sex and an identifying color. For each record: a date, a height, a weight and, if you add one, a free-form note. Body mass index and percentiles are not stored: they are recalculated each time they are displayed.
What these data are
A child’s growth is health data within the meaning of Article 9 of the General Data Protection Regulation. It therefore calls for particular care, which explains the choices described below.
Where it is stored
In your device’s storage, in the space reserved for the app. If you are signed in to iCloud, it is also kept in the private database of your iCloud account, so you can find it on your other devices, such as an iPad. Only your account has access: no data is placed on a server belonging to the publisher or to a third party. This storage is governed by Apple’s terms.
Turn Off Sync
To keep the data on one device only, turn off iCloud for ChildArc in that device’s Settings, under iCloud. The sync status is shown in the app’s settings.
Your device backups
If you back up your device, to iCloud or to a computer, that backup may contain the app’s data, like that of all your other apps. These backups are governed by your device settings and Apple’s terms, not by this app.
What does not exist
No account. No sign-up. No audience measurement, no trackers, no ad networks, no third-party analytics. Apart from iCloud sync and the App Store, both handled by the system, the app makes no network requests.
Purchases
ChildArc Plus is bought through the App Store. Payment, receipts and Family Sharing are handled by Apple, under its own terms. The publisher receives neither your name, nor your contact details, nor your payment details: only overall sales figures. The app checks the purchase with the App Store, without sending any of your records.
How long
For as long as you keep them. Deleting a record or a child erases it from the device and, if sync is on, from your iCloud account and your other devices. Deleting the app only erases the data on this device: data in your iCloud account can be deleted from iCloud storage management, in Settings.
Your rights
You can view, correct, export by your own means or delete your data directly in the app, without having to ask anyone. As the publisher holds no copy, it can neither return nor erase it on your behalf.
Data about a minor
This app is intended for use by a person with parental authority, to track their own child. The data entered concern a minor and deserve the same discretion as a paper health record.
Users in the United States
The publisher does not collect, sell or share any personal information, including consumer health data as defined by US state laws, and does not use any of it for advertising. ChildArc is intended for parents and guardians: it is not directed to children under 13 and collects no information from them within the meaning of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
